Paul + Saren

8.14.21

These two and their families basically grew up together. They'd been friends since they were little and their lives were on different paths until the found each other again. Hearing Saren's dad talk about how much their grandfathers would've loved seeing them together left no dry eye in the house. Neither one of them ever thought that they'd end up together, but we're all so very happy they did!!! We absolutely love these two, and if you keep scrolling, you'll see why.

Saren and her ladies prepped at downtown's gorgeous Hyatt Regency hotel. This group was full of smiles as Saren started feeling more and more like a bride on her wedding day. And doesn't she kind of look like Miranda Lambert?! She says she gets it all the time!

The guys and gals gave us time to get these gorgeous outdoor shots before the ceremony. We had no idea this hidden gem was hidden in the heart of downtown!

From first looks to a special prayer before the ceremony, Saren and Paul were surrounded by love every second of their day! It was so sweet to see.

Their ceremony was at the historic First Presbyterian Church in downtown Wichita. It was such a grand space, perfect for their beautiful ceremony!!

Saren and Paul chose to celebrate their unity by having guests wave ribbon streamers as they walked by - these always make for such great shots!

Fun fact about Paul: before his wedding day, he did NOT like having his picture taken...Saren told us before the engagement session that he was not a fan, BUT after spending some time with us, he actually admitted he had fun AND wanted to do even more photos with Saren after the ceremony!

It's always great for us when we know we won over the groom and we think Paul might even have a future in modeling ;)

After the ceremony, their guests were invited to eat, drink, and dance at Botanica's Lotus Hall - and Events and Design by Ashley knocked it out of the park with decor elements that complimented the space perfectly. Their DJ even incorporated some cool fog canons to welcome the couple in with style!

It was truly a night to remember with these two. Just goes to show that you can make all the plans that you want for your life, but sometimes life has even better plans.

Thank you to all the vendors who made their day amazing, and a special thanks to Saren and Paul for choosing us to capture these special memories for them.

We couldn't have asked for a better couple!!

Stevie + Patrick

09.04.2021

What do you get when you cross a Chinook Army Pilot and a Radio City Rockette? One of the best wedding weekends ever ;)

Stevie and Patrick chose Stone Hill Barn to commemorate the beginning of their forever with their loved ones surrounding them. With a room full of men in uniform, girls serenading the bride while she preps, and two beautiful families coming together, this wedding was a match made in heaven.

Read along as Stevie shares her love story (because she's WAY better at it than I am!), and see their wedding day timeline unfold.

"Patrick and I met almost seven years ago in New York City. He was a plebe at West Point, and I was finishing up my freshman year as a dance major at Pace University. One weekend, a mutual friend introduced us, and the next day, he asked me on a date! (Those West Point boys move fast:)

We dated all through college, making use of the Metro North train almost every weekend. Throughout that time, we also established a strong Pace/West Point connection that still runs strong to this day.

After college, life got interesting as Patrick started flight school in Alabama, and I began hopping from show to show with my home base in NYC. Yet, we always made it work. That’s the beauty of loving someone who is just as passionate about life as you are. We survived a year in South Korea and planned a wedding throughout a pandemic with many FaceTimes and flights in between. Patrick and I chose to embrace our jobs while also cherishing our time together!"

"Today, Patrick is a Chinook pilot for the United States Army, and I am a Radio City Rockette. We push each other to be the best possible versions of ourselves and continue to love each other from afar. Our wedding was the most special day as we were able to celebrate with our family and friends, including the most epic bridal party (that Pace/West Point connection came in clutch!). Our vendors were absolutely wonderful and created an amazing dream team! We couldn’t have dreamed of a more perfect day and look forward to officially starting our lives together."

(no particular reason for their ceremony to all be in black and white...I just like black and white and think it deserves a little extra love sometimes!)

Here we are again, pinching ourselves! Sometimes I feel like a broken record, but it really is couples like these and weddings like this that remind us just how fortunate we are to do this for a living.

Thanks to the Furlongs, the Macks, and all the other couples and families who trust us to capture their favorite memories that will last a lifetime!

Amey & Tony

We've been waiting for the perfect time to share this love story! Amey & Tony's story is one for the books, and their wedding day was nothing short of INCREDIBLE!

Check out highlights from their wedding day, and read their incredibly moving love story!

Amey and Tony began their wedding day prepping with some of their favorite people. As the guys got ready at an airbnb, the ladies took over the Rockstar Suite at the Ambassador Hotel, in downtown Wichita. Getting beautified by one of our favorite glam squads, Blushed Beauty Co for makeup, and Pins and Knots for hair, the ladies dazzled all morning as they danced and laughed together.

When everyone was finished getting ready for the day, Amey and Tony decided to do a "first look" with each other, so they could not only maximize their time for photos, but so they could actually have more time to spend with each other on their wedding day! We love, love, love this moment with the two of them.

They gave us tons of time of time for photos before the ceremony, and we couldn't have asked for a better group!

We all headed over to Central Community Church's gorgeous new chapel for one of the most beautiful, emotional wedding ceremonies we've ever shot.

We just love these two so much!

The couple gave us more time for even MORE couple's portraits on our way over to their reception (we'll save those for the end!).

They arrived at the Petroleum Club in downtown Wichita to dance the night away with their closest friends and family. And this group can party!!

Now, the moment you've been waiting for...here's Amey & Tony's love story, from Amey's perspective:

July 12, 2019 – I had been working in Phoenix for a couple of days and was about to head back to Dallas to start my weekend with friends. I had boarded my Southwest flight (where every seat is first class, by the way) and settled into the usual aisle seat up front with all my other fellow A-Listers. Normally, I have my face buried in my phone to avoid making eye contact with the oncoming passengers, always hopeful that this strategy would one day prevent anyone from sitting next to me on the flight. Don't judge!
Something or someone had distracted me from trolling social media, causing me to look up right as Tony was boarding the plane and walking down the aisle. My initial thought was “Okay, now HE’S a good-looking guy!” Let me pause right here and say that I was in a great place in my life – God had truly been filling ‘my cup’, and I was at peace with my singleness.

I tried to act casually and not stare too much at Tony while he, too, had his face buried in his phone. But then it happened….God’s orchestration finally coming into full play. The lady in front of Tony had stopped right next to my seat. I had no idea what she was doing or if she even sat in the row across from me because I was still staring at Tony staring at his phone. There was just something about him that had intrigued me. Looking back, I believe, without a doubt, that this lady was also a part of God’s beautiful timing! He made sure that the SLOWEST person on earth was walking in front of Tony on this flight. Can I get an AMEN!?

While the slow lady was “pausing” by my seat, Tony happened to look up…and then We. Made. Eye contact. He politely asked if anyone was sitting in the window seat, which of course no one was yet because I had been AVOIDING eye contact with the passengers before him. I told him “No” and stood up to move into the aisle so he could have his window seat, but the SLOW lady was still standing there. So now I am standing up in front of my seat, Tony is standing in the aisle waiting on me, but I am still waiting on the SLOW lady to move. And let me just add that it was kinda awkward for a moment. Tony and I are now standing face-to-face for what seemed like an eternity, and in that moment, all I could muster out was a sheepish “haha” in the dorkiest manner possible. “Haha?” Ugh!

Well, the SLOW lady finally moved and Tony slipped into his seat. He was on the phone talking to someone while getting settled, so I attempted a quick glance at his ring finger to verify his ‘status’. No luck. I just assumed he was, in fact, married or dating someone because that had always been the case up to this point. Several minutes had passed after he finished his call, and I did not want to seem too unfriendly, so I asked him if Dallas was his home. And from there, my friends, we talked the ENTIRE flight to Dallas. We talked faith, family, our shared frustrations with American Airlines, and so much more! Was this guy for real?
Yes he was!

The cliché saying “when you least expect it” is SOOOO true! I wasn't looking, but God brought Tony into my life on July 12, 2019......not a day too soon or a day too late. He knew that a breast cancer diagnosis was about to knock on my door three months later, but more importantly, God knew how much of a blessing Tony would be to me through it all. Tony IS the man I had been praying for my entire life. He was so worth the wait!

It's hard to deny the love and joy that radiates from these two love birds. We often pinch ourselves thinking about how many incredible people we get to meet for our job, and these two hold a special place in our hearts forever. Thank you, Amey & Tony, for trusting us to capture your love story and be a part of your memories forever!

Sydney & Ty - 10.10.2020

Sydney & Ty had a beautiful, autumn wedding out at Flint Oak, in Fall River, Kansas.

In a freshly cut meadow, Sydney and Ty exchanged personal vows and custom rings alongside the most important people in their life.

Surrounded by their family and friends later that evening, the newlyweds danced the night away under cafe lights and sparklers at Flint Oak's beautiful rustic lodge.

With a dance floor under the stars, this reception venue was truly a dream. Ty and Sydney made their first dance extra special, surrounded by sparklers.

This couple even gave us extra time at sunset to do more photos of just the two of them - something that we REALLY love! The images really speak for themselves from this beautiful, fall day!

These two are definitely going to be friends for life! We had such a blast with them on their wedding day, and we're so excited to see what life will bring for them. We say this all the time...we can't believe this gets to be our job!
